Molly Millington Releases ‘Foreign Accent’

Back in 2019, I went to a John Mayer show. Cool songs, sick guitar solos and fun on-stage banter. What more could you ask for? Well on the way back to the train station after the show, I saw a familiar face (familiar as in I’d seen it on Instagram). That face was the face of Molly Millington.
Molly, if you’re reading, can you answer two questions for me:
Is it possible it was you I saw walking outside that show?
Would it have been cool if I said hello to you? I didn’t and possibly still wouldn’t because I am a boy filled with anxiety, but I need to know if it would have been cool to do so.
While I await an answer from Molly, I might as well tell you about ‘Foreign Accent’, her first release of 2023.‘Foreign Accent’ is a fun little indie-pop tune that’s guaranteed to have you dancing along on the first listen and singing along on the second.
On the track, Molly says, “‘Foreign Accent’ is about doing things you usually wouldn’t purely because the ways it’s presented is not what you’re used to. For example, saying yes to a marriage proposal because you’re in another country and everything seems more exciting and romantic but then remembering when you get home that you actually don’t believe in marriage and possibly might not even be into men”. This is a story I absolutely need to hear at some point in my life.
With more music on the way soon, Molly Millington is definitely one to keep an eye and ear on for the rest of 2023.
